About Me
I have done weddings and events for friends and family all my life, recently retired and now in my own buisness. I was trained early in my professional life by working with and for a florist. To me, it all comes so naturally. I am in the zone designing for a wedding. Each time I feel I am creating for my own child's wedding. Most of my clients have to be on a strict budget I try to give them the biggest bang for their bucks. I even help them if they ask advice in other areas. For example, what color tie would you suggest the groomsmen wear. I love to help them.

View Forum Post"I have developed a preconsultation form asking for all the pertinent information, including budget, wedding party, venues, colors, style, reception and ceremony needs etc. After the initial contact, I email the form. Serious brides will send it back within two days, some who haven't made those final decisions yet, will wait a while. If they can't give me a ball park budget, I can't give them a quote . I found THAT is what was wasting my time. The brides who wanted to know how much it was going to cost first and hadn't done any homework (on line where information is available). I have also found the lower their budget, the more likely they are DIY or shopping around. So I do as mentioned above, a general quote for lower end brides, and suggest they pick up. If it is only bouquets and bouts, corsages. Hope that helps."
