Maple on Tap Craft Cocktail #FlowerCocktailHour
Many Nature Centers offer lessons in tapping maple trees for syrup, in early spring. Today, I’ll create a cocktail using fresh maple syrup from Blandford Nature Center…and pair it with a craft beer- made by Founders! The name of the beer is “Backwoods Bastard”- but you can choose any dark ale or brew that you enjoy!
Here’s the recipe:
Maple on Tap Craft Cocktail Ingredients:
2 Tbsp Lime Juice
2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
4 Oz Bourbon
Top off with Iced Bottle of Bourbon infused Michigan made Craft Beer (Backwoods Bastard)
Served in a Brandy Snifter on Ice
Instructions- I prefer fresh pressed Lime Juice- add that and the Maple Syrup- to your snifter and mix thoroughly…
Follow that by mixing in the 4 oz of Bourbon- again – I prefer Bullit Burbon- or even the Bullit Rye… which I find delicious…
Then I add ice to the snifter… you can also shake the first ingredients if you wish… and then pour into the snifter over ice.
then top off the mixture with your favorite ice cold bottle of dark brew… I chose “Backwoods Bastard” from Founders Brewery…
It’s my all time favorite!
Squeeze another wedge of fresh lime – and serve… this Maple on Tap Craft Cocktail does indeed pack a punch!
