Flower Lesson – Casket Spray

It’s time for another flower lesson…and today I’ll teach you the tips, tricks and techniques for creating a Casket Spray! I’ve had so many requests to create this tutorial…I hope you find it helpful and valuable. 

This casket spray is created in the Komo Casket Saddle. It features Fabulous Foliage from FernTrust, Green Gladiolus from Glad-A-Way Gardens, Bells of Ireland from Bandy Ranch, Fugi Chrysanthemums, Carnations and Snowball Viburnum from Kennicott Brothers and Midwest Blooms, Green Lilies from Ocean Breeze International, Fabulous Ranunculus from Holland America Flowers and Gorgeous Reliant Ribbon. 

I take you step by step through the process and offer my helpful hints and advice along the way. Grab a cup of coffee and settle in for this helpful flower lesson featuring the Casket Spray! Enjoy!

    Thanks so much for creating this video. It was really informative. I like the all green flowers because it helps the viewer pay attention to the structure and the technique more than the stylistic interplay of different colors.

    “Florida Fern” is the new name for Leatherleaf.

    Are you pushing the ribbon into the foam with the stick or is it just tucked in behind the flowers?

      Depending in the makeup of the ribbon- the satin/silk ribbon is tucked in between the flowers- the Polyester- SHEER is actually stuck into the foam… the silk or satin will wick up water… however the polyester sheer will not… so it depends on the ribbon… Hope that is helpful…

      I love Florida Fern- Never did like the name leather leaf or baker fern… hehehe!
