Can I use flowers from my garden?- Flowers 101

Absolutely, there is real sense of accomplishment, pride and personalization that comes from using flowers we grew ourselves. In many cases they can be exceptionally fresh when cut at the right stage and time of day. For the freshest cut garden flowers… cut them early in the morning, and after they have been watered the day before. Also taking a glass or bucket of flower nutrient treated water directly into the garden and placing them into the water immediately upon cutting will reap great rewards in flower longevity. Also, it can be fun to mix a few of your own personal garden flowers with other flowers purchased at your local flower seller…to personalize the mix or add variety!
