Are there any special TRICKS to preparing my flowers?- Flowers 101

  • Flower nutrients or flower food packets used to manufacturers recommendation on the back of the packet!
  • Fresh, clean, cool to cold water (36-40 degrees Fahrenheit)
  • Clean buckets, vases and containers after each use with a detergent or professional bucket or vase cleaner (ask your professional florist or flower seller about bucket cleaners).
  • Re-cut stems and change water when any signs of bacteria occur (cloudy water or foul smelling water).
  • Select fresh flowers from a reputable flower seller!
  • Be cautious of cheap flowers. Cheap flowers can sometimes mean they are not fresh!
