uBloomers take on Mayesh's Design Star Competition!
From Project Runway to So You Think You Can Dance....competition reality shows are HOT! It doesn't matter if the contestants are designing fashionable clothes or floral designs...people LOVE to watch wanna-be's as well as experts duke it out for fame, fortune and garnering the coveted title of being the Next Design Star!Joining in all the fun and fray is Mayesh, a floral wholesale powerhouse known for their keen sense of style, trend savvy, and massive inventory of unique floral materials. Showing off their marketing prowess, Mayesh is currently hosting a "Design Star" competition of their own! According to Mayesh, they are searching for a designer "with personality, passion, creativity, product knowledge, & design skills" that they can put in front of the camera for their product design demonstrations. What an awesome opportunity for one very lucky floral professional!After sorting through the scores of entrants, Mayesh narrowed the field down to just 5 individuals they believe have what it takes to be the "face" of Mayesh. Of the 5 finalists, 4 are uBloomers! That's right! Beth O'Reilly AIFD and Steven Santos are Both Club uBloom members and Mandy Majerik AIFD, PCFI, and Shawn Adams are frequent uBloom Participants... ALL have impressed the Mayesh judges and are now competing head-to-head to become Mayesh's New Design Star!For the finals, Mayesh asked the 5 contestants to film a design video of their own creating a favorite/popular design using Mayesh products. However, THIS time the judging will be done by all those inside the industry....meaning US! Yep, we get a chance to vote for who we think should to be the next Mayesh spokesperson! All five contestant's videos are now posted on Mayesh's website...so YOU can VIEW and VOTE for your FAVE! Of course, I have viewed them all myself and I can tell you that uBloomers Mandy, Beth, Steven, and Shawn ROCK their designs! They are ALL incredible floral artists and represent our industry (and uBloom) well. We are SO proud of them!OK, uBloomers Mandy, Beth, Steven, and Shawn need their fellow community members to go to Mayesh's website and VOTE for them! Voting is currently taking place (Oct. 15 - Oct. 22, 2011), so hurry! Now, according to Mayesh's contest rules, you can only vote for one finalist, so vote carefully....but be sure and VOTE!
