    Hi J,
Greens added sparkle to my step mother’s 80th birthday on Friday!!
I had a fun time talking to the florist as we decided on the perfect flowers for Emiko’s arrangement. Of course we talked about the AOL piece and your adorable parents and how much fun you are.

J- Could you use the calla leaves instead of the aspidistra leaves?

Sure… however they might not hold up as well as the Aspidistra… it’s Really TOUGH… you’ll have to keep the Calla Lily Leaves hydrated for sure!!!

HI Great video! could I use mini callas for this project as well?

Certainly Jana- It’s J- and that would be terrific- it would make a much smaller composite flower over all… but it would be super sweet!!! Thanks for the question!

My favorite flower is the calla lily. Had a big boka of them for my wedding mixed with maiden hair fern and godseffiana leaves with a bow with streamers tied in knots like they did back in the 20′s and 30′s. This is a great idea to do with them. Wish I would have thought of it. Made glamelia’s back in the 60′s and 70′s but using calla lilys never even entered my mind as I love their long stems. Thanks again for another great idea this old florist (73) can use.
