Revisit the Pumpkin...

It's Fall... and my favorite time of year!! And I love Pumpkins... It's amazing to see the variety of American Grown Heirloom Pumpkins that are flooding the market...So Many different types... "warty" Pumpkins... "Cinderella pumpkins...."Different shades and hues... Greens, Whites, variegated...Pumpkins are so much more than Jack-o-lanterns... gosh when I was a kid... the thing that differentiated the pumpkins was size... but today... there's so much more to choose from !Perhaps it's time for us to revisit the pumpkin... in design! What can we do with these amazing pumpkins... that would allow them to be even more exceptional???Filled with a collection of Fall type flowers, artichokes or even ginger roots...Or maybe we "Plant" them full to overflowing with Succulents, eucalyptus pods and add a banksia protea???What have you got up your "creative flower artist" sleeve when it comes to pumpkin decorating???J Schwanke is the host of Fun with Flowers and J... a web-based TV show on uBloom.com.
