Set a Foliage Table- with Living Greens!

I love to set a table- and adding Foliage- can make it fabulous. FernTrust has over 126 different kinds of foliage... many of which look great in a table setting... Here's how easy it is...Use Monstera Leaves as chargers under plates. I set a single Monstera leave under the salad plate on these Gold Chargers- if you don't have chargers- the Monstera can serve as the charger- it's a very durable leaf- and it's the FOLIAGE of the Year for 2018 and 2019... it's a Hot Trend- so using these Tropical Leaves under your plates - gets you started!Try a Calathea Leaf for the silverware! Instead of a Napkin under the silverware- you can use a piece of foliage- I chose the "Rattlesnake" Calathea (or Prayer Plant) Leaf for this setting- I liked how the variegated leaf added a bit of excitement.Create a fun serving dish- by "trapping" some foliage flat between two glass plates- I used Victoria Leather Leaf- in between these two plates to create a home for the some pre-meal nibbles...Dress up your glassware! With a little craft covered wire- I added a few leaves around the stem of the wine glass... forming a rosette- that sits below the vessel- and creates a fun way to accent wine glasses... you can use all sorts of leaves, Fatsia- or try curling Aspidistra or Milky Way leaves around the stem of the wine glass!If you're setting a formal table (or even if you're not) Placecards are a must- and you can use a leaf- writing the name on the leaf with a Gold Permanent Marker- and then placing the leaf in a vintage flower frog... it's the perfect to create a keepsake or take-home favor for the table!A foliage bouquet can be the centerpiece- you can use an all foliage bouquet in a vase- or add a few flowers from the garden... don't have a garden or access to fresh flowers?
