The Right Tools for the Right Flowers! - Flowers 101
It’s important for us to use the proper tools for the different kinds of flowers and foliages we have for flower arranging...This week, I share the right tools for the right flowers!I love my Swiss Army Locking Blade knife because it’s sharp and gives me a clean sharp 45˚ cut on most flowers. At the same time, it’s a bit more challenging to use a knife on woody stems like Ilex. That’s where I prefer my bunch cutter or by-pass cutter, which gives a clean sharp 45˚ angle cut as well. NEVER...I repeat...NEVER use Scissors!! The way the blades operate crushes (rather than cuts) the stem and it’s responsible for vascular instability. Using the right tool for the right flower is super important!
