Behind the Bloom – Memorial Day Flower Memories with J!

Today, let’s take a little trip down memory lane with J and his memories of Memorial Day…back in his home, thousands of cemetery bouquets, wandering around in the cemetery with a flashlight and the “Little Black Book” (that is 4 generations old!). Plus, J places flowers on his grandparents’ grave in Fremont, Nebraska…It’s all about flowers and memories and the custom of honoring and remembering our loved ones at Memorial Day

Yes J growing up like you and making trips to the cemetery was for sure on mostly all the holidays and Memorial Day for sure. Moved away from the east coast and live in Oregon now, so no graves of family members here. I do go to the cemeteries where my families graves are when I am back there. Like you say they are with us all the time, but still as a remembrance I like to put flowers on their graves. More for me than them probably but it’s still a comfort to know that they are not forgotten.
