Behind the Bloom – Arranging Flowers with Joan Kowalski at the Bob Ross Studio!

This week on Behind the Bloom- I’m visiting with my Flower Friend Joan at the Bob Ross Experience- on the campus of the Minnetrista Museum and Gardens in Muncie, Indiana!

Today on this week’s Behind the Bloom Video on uBloom- I’m with my Flower Friend Joan Kowalski- at the Original Bob Ross Studio- inside the Bob Ross Experience at the Minnetrista Museum and Gardens in Muncie Indiana! Joan and I met at the American Public Television Fall Marketplace several years ago- and became fast friends.

We’re arranging Hydrangeas- Joan’s Favorite Flower- all the while in the Shadow of Bob Ross Original- “Trace of Spring” from Episode 5- Season 26 of The Joy of Painting- with Bob Ross! (in the background)

I’m a Bob Ross Fan from way back… and Joan could see that- and thus- helped create an opportunity for Me and my Crew to visit the Bob Ross Experience and film a cross-over episode at the Original Bob Ross Studio- and interpret a Bob Ross Original Painting- “ Trace of Spring” from Season 26, Episode 5- (You can watch the Original Joy of Painting Episode here and watch Bob create this painting! Wow!) You’ll see me create the arrangement that is an interpretation of “Trace of Spring” in Episode 702 – Painting and Flowers – that will air on many Public Television Stations the second weekend in April 2025… and on the uBloom.com Website as well!

Filming in the Bob Ross Exhibition- on the 2nd floor of the Bob Ross Experience! The Experience is incredible- and also provides space for hands on classes- that feature examples of Bob’s Original artwork. SO Wonderful!

Coming Soon- a Link- Episode 702- Painting and Flowers- that features this Iconic Visit!
Joan’s kindness made this possible- along with our Amazing Friends at the Minnestrista Museum and Gardens- where the Bob Ross Experience resides- inside the original home- that contains Bob’s Studio- and exhibits of his original artwork. It’s Amazing- Nostalgic- and Incredibly Inspiring! Be sure to save time on your visit to the Minnetrista Museum- that honors the history of the Ball Mason Jar- and the history of Canning in America… It’s Fascinating! I decided it would be fun to arrange some flowers with Joan (Hydrangeas- are Her Favorite)… and have a little Flower Chat- about Bob Ross!

It’s incredible to see the actually Original Bob Ross Artworks- and to be up close and personal with Paintings that we can see completed in The Joy of Painting Episodes- available on Public Education Television, PBS, Create TV, Twitch, Roku Channel- and Youtube… Bob Ross is an Iconic- in the world of Painting as well- as an Incredible Icon of Kindness and Love!

The Bob Ross Experience provides access to Everyone and you have your very own Bob Ross Experience- in Muncie Indiana!  Be sure to make a stop at the Gift Shop for some Inspiring Bob Ross Swag… I got Bob Ross Socks, T-shirts and much more!
Here’s another piece of trivia behind this weeks’ video… We filmed it on the Anniversary of Bob Ross’ Birthday… October 28… it was an incredible day to film there- and I could feel Bob’s Spirit in this incredibly ICON Setting! The Bob Ross Experience is Simply Wonderful- and allows you an up close and personal encounter with Bob Ross- and the Joy of Painting on the set where Bob Ross created 15 Seasons of this Beloved Public Television Series- that is more popular than ever!

What an Incredible Honor to be able to be in this Historic- Nostalgic and Iconic Location- filming Flower arranging… Special Thanks to the Staff at the Minnetrista Museum and Gardens for making this possible! Watch another episode- where I create a LITTLE WORLD of FLOWERS- inspired by Bob Ross- at this link!

It like making a visit to The Joy of Painting Series we’ve all enjoyed, watched and loved. I hope you enjoy this fun conversation about Bob Ross and The Joy of Painting! Thank you Joan and the Entire Staff at Minnetrista Museum and Gardens for making us feel so welcome- and providing us with A Bob Experience of a Life Time! I’m so Honored, and Grateful for the Opportunity! Enjoy this Very Special Behind the Bloom -(Watch here!) at the Bob Ross Experience… with my Friend Joan- and the Bob Ross Original Painting - “Trace of Spring”…
