Sometimes you meet someone- and everything just clicks… that’s how my friendship with Kim and Val began… I was simply walking the Farmers Market- and Kim and I struck up a conversation… we talked about her Cookbooks (AMAZING and available at brickyardfarms.com )- Garlic, Soap and Life and Friends and Family… and instantly we were Great Friends… That is what I call a “Gift from the Universe”… kindness is rare these days- and Kim shared her Kindness with me… To this day - she shares what she is cooking for supper (I’m from the Midwest- it’s “Supper”…) and it’s always magnificently photographed and I can nearly smell it though the IM… I knew I had to feature their farm and garlic on “Life in Bloom” …after all they are the “Garlic Gals”… you’ll meet them in Season 6 Episode 603 The Stinking Rose… We’ve been invited to their home- to feast on recipe Kim calls ‘Better than Boeuf Bourguignon’ and I rest assured- SHE’S NOT JOKING… We sat around the table like old friends… chewing the fat- and toasting the evening away… Sometimes the Universe offers up the Greatest Gifts… Like these two Gems!
