Roasted Garlic Martini
INGREDIENTS: GARNISH:
2 oz roasted garlic infused gin olive, garlic-stuffed
-OR- rim with garlic scape salt
2 oz roasted garlic infused vodka small beet, cooked or roasted
1 oz dry vermouth
INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake. Rim martini glass with
garlic scape salt. Pour mixture carefully into martini glass. Garnish with garlicstuffed
olive or cooked or roasted beet (a seasonal nod to vampires, naturally).
J’s NOTES:
I made the roasted garlic infused gin and vodka myself. Trim 1/4 inch from top
of a head of garlic. Place in a oven safe dish with a bit olive oil drizzled over top
of bulb and roast in oven at 350˚ for 1 hour. Allow to cool completely. Place vodka
or gin in air tight container, and add roasted garlic. Add more or less depending
on your desired strength of garlic flavor. Leave garlic in for 7 days. Mash
garlic and leave in container for 3 additional days. Strain to removed debris and
return to original bottle or other decorative container.
