 Clematis as a Cut Flower? Who would ever think this rather delicate (seeming) flower would be a hardy cut flower...I saw Clematis used the first time in a stage presentation by Sets Umeda AIFD during a symposium in San Francisco... I was amazed by the beauty of this long stemmed flower... curling it's way throughout the interesting arrangement Sets has created... I was further amazed when the flower didn't expire... and lasted as it was on display throughout the entire symposium... (4 days)... that's when I began to learn about the long lasting properties of Clematis...Let's fast forward to uBloom and Fun with Flowers... I was fortunate enough to gain the interest of Roseville Farms... in Apopka Florida... one of the world's foremost Clematis producers ... producing both plants and cut flowers... Believe it not... Clematis performs beautifully... both in Water and In Flower Foam...I know...The stems are fibrous... one of the few in the flower world... and that means that the stems can transfer water from end of stem to bloom even when bent... remarkable...Get the Flowers in ahead of your need... and allow them to open up in Cold Flower Nutrient water at room temperature...
