Flowers are beautiful and when added to ANYTHING – they make it more exciting… and Happy! This goes for food too…and this is one of my favorite ways to include edible flowers in a dessert! Cupcakes are Super Popular- and think how excited your guests will be when they include fresh flowers! It’s easy to create these sugared Flowers!
To source edible flowers- contact your local grocer, farmers’ market or grow your own in the garden! For the sugared flowers pictured below- I used organic pure kane sugar with my pansies and violas!

Add Edible Organic flowers to your cupcakes and create a Recipe in Bloom!

Nasturtiums
Verbena
Carnations, or Miniature Dianthus
Herbs -and Herb Blooms- like basil, chives or garlic
Orchids
Bake Cupcakes and Frost with your favorite icing
Select edible organic flowers to create “Sugared Flowers” – for this recipe I chose Violas and Pansies that I grew in my very own garden!
Flowers can be arranged into the icing– as is or you can coat the flowers with sugar

Sugared Flowers- Start with edible organic flowers-
Using a pastry brush- coat flowers with egg white
Sprinkle or dip into Sugar- (you can use cane, natural or even colored sugar)
Allow to dry- and place into frosting on top of cupcakes
Serve- or Box and share with friends.
