Reinforcing and Anchoring Spheres

Flower Foam Shapes are extremely helpful and versatile.Here’s a few quick tips for using the Flower Foam Spheres...Because of the round shape, we add flower stems all around in all directions. This can sometimes compromise the integrity of the foam and fracture it. In the old days, we would have wrapped with Chicken Wire but today it’s much easier to wrap the sphere with ¼ inch waterproof tape to secure it...almost like the lines on a basketball! This helps keep the shape secure and prevent fracturing.To secure it atop another piece of foam, I use bamboo stakes placed through the sphere at opposing angles. This secures it directly and makes for good solid mechanics!
