INGREDIENTS:
1 pkg spaghetti noodles, cooked 4 cloves of garlic, oregano to taste
1 lb Italian sausage (or ground beef) 1 jar spaghetti sauce
1 pkg cream cheese 1 stick butter
1 pkg shredded mozzarella cheese Parmesan cheese
INSTRUCTIONS:
Cook sausage in a pan on the stove with pressed garlic and oregano to taste,
drain grease, add spaghetti sauce. Boil spaghetti noodles, drain, set aside. Layer
ingredients in casserole or 9 by 12 baking dish. 1st layer: noodles with pads of
butter. 2nd layer: meat sauce mixture. 3rd layer: mozzarella cheese. 4th layer
noodles with pads of cream cheese. 5th layer: meat sauce mixture. Final layer:
mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350˚ F for about an hour.
JENN’s NOTES:
“I was 23, with 3 boys under the age of 6. This recipe was my ‘make-believe’
we were doing better than we were. Back then, it cost me very little. I would set
the table fancy-like (plastic wine glasses & 7UP) and tell my boys it was “Million
Dollar Spaghetti Night” and for that time I could forget about the juggling game
that was my life. I now share the recipe with teen moms & those in rough spots.”
