In this week’s New uBloom Video- (Watch Here!) I’m on location in Fullerton, California at the Home of Phil and Cathy Rulloda! What an incredible honor to be invited to their home and garden landscape- and then allowed to arrange flowers from our Friends at Green Point Nurseries Inc.… but BEST OF ALL… I was able to get a full fledged Critique from my Mentor and Friend… Phil Rulloda (which BTW is nerve wracking…) but also very much an honor! I’m so thankful and grateful for all the Knowledge, Coaching and Support I’ve gotten from Phil and Cathy throughout my life in our Great Flower Industry. Phil and Cathy (and myself) are all members of the American Academy of Floriculture AAF- American Institute of Floral Designers AIFD- and Professional Floral Communicators International PFCI- and of course Phil has won about every award in the entire world! This was an unbelievable LIFE Moment- to be in this space- and have Phil- continue to teach me- and share his incredible talent – with me personally! You’ll be treated to a Entire Episode devoted to our Visit with Phil and Cathy- in Season 7 of J Schwanke’s Life in Bloom- Episode 701- The shows premiere titled “FLOWER ICON” will be airing Nationally on Public Television, PBS and Create TV starting in April 2025. (You can watch the trailer for Season 7 here!) - In our Season 7 Premiere- we introduce the Phil and Cathy Rulloda Anthurium- Phil shows us all how to weave a bird… one of his signature techniques- Cathy fixes a family Polish/Filipino Dish …and Phil arranges flowers- in Classic Phil Style!
